2nd Wind: Part 1

Yesterday I took a sabbath day. Just my God and I. I purposely did nothing. For those who think you have to work, work and work, you are fooling yourself. Even God rested! Well this morning I had one of the most encouraging dreams. Yes, even the Leader needs encouraging. It was a dream about one of my greatest spiritual encouragers whom The Lord took while I was a student at Payne Seminary. I got saved at an early age under her preaching.

From 1979 until her homegoing, she took me in as one of her own. I would travel with her and she would always allow me to spend time with her when I was at my grandmother’s house. Well, in the dream, she drove up in an old-school Cadillac. It was as clean as a whistle. She came into the place where I was and walked straight into the kitchen. So I had to walk into the kitchen to see her. We embraced and told each other how good it was to see each other. I then asked, “Are you ok? I miss you so much.” She said, “I’m fine.” (spoken really fast). She went on to say “And you are fine. Daryl, you are going to be ok.” She then began calling on the name of Jesus over me as we hugged each other. She told me again, “You are going to be A-ok!” Then she left.

What is the message in all of this? I invite you to please tune in this coming Thursday for part two of “2nd Wind!”
